To observe the passing of two successful decades of this classy machine it has decided to make the stage of Geneva Motor Show a perfect launch pad for a special edition auto MX-5; simply to celebrate the 20th Anniversary mark in March. Only 2000 units would be under production to serve the speeding needs of all those sports aficionados who can actually rejoice themselves by resorting back to cruising with the top open. To make it more special, some especially designed stainless steel plates have found their place on the machine to be released in numbers in serial order for the European market ( 1to 2000).

Easy to guess; few characteristics of the1.8 L soft-top production roadster is found on this special edition. To name a few, the all new polished chrome grille, trendy door handles, lamp frames bearing a hazy silver-look lampfog, superb alloy wheels of 17-inch, crafter logos denoting the 20th Anniversary and the headlight fascia. Available in 3 colors namely Crystal White Pearl exclusively available only in this edition, novel Aurora Blue and True red. Enriched by correspondingly painted interiors, this machine holds a strut tower bar to make sure all the ingredients are rightly placed to make your jaunt invigorating.

McLaren F1 is divine, uncommon and as exotic as anything could get and we all know it, don’t we? It is natural to see anyone going berserk at the sight of it however that weirdo feeling lives for a short while as it vrooms past you as fast as you imagine it not to travel.

SLR legend as it is known popularly is a blend of a machine which in 1955 derived its design and technology from the Mercedes Benz 300 SL “ Gullwing” model and the 300 SLR racing machine, thanks to Rudolf Uhlenhaut who engineered this change. But it seems the last pieces of SLR will be anytime out soon.

SLR(which is a short form for Sporty, light and raceworthy) will soon be history and it obviously is a dejecting news to those who treasured it.Since when Mercedes- Benz and McLaren kickstarted its production in 2004, 5 variants of SLRs have been out for the run which consists of 2 coupes, 2 versions for the roadster and A SLR stirling Moss, which indeed is a short-lived edition of 75 examples.

As the sources from the Motor Trend report, Mazda RX-8 is going to be put under a short pause for 2 years after which we shall expect the return of the Mazda family with a bang via the new RX-7. Not only the US sales will come to a halt in 2011 as European operations related to sales is considered to be dropped off in the same year.

Though RX-7 will feature only two doors, it gets an additional engine displacement in contrast to the RX-8, which is speculated to get to 1.6 liters from the 1.3 liters mark.

Coated with a fresh Quarzo fuso color--- a nacreous tinge in shades of metallic grey with a golden tone, some of the main attractions of this special edition’s exterior are the chrome parts, finished with satin the 20-inch dark grey rims made of multi trident and the brake calipers present in the front as well as the rear end with a manual polish.

Looking at the interior, the seats are exquisitely swathed with Poltrona Frau leather in conjunction with the sheath of Alcantara, which is well pierced despite used in the headlining as well. Especially made aluminium door sills and the wood engravings finished to perfection through a Piano Black satin material offer the complete look to the cabin.

Expected to be available in the UK market right from the second half of this year, this Awards Edition looks fantastic with the specially designed “Series Plates”.

Ready to hit Europe in the summer of 2009 only to be launched in US very soon from that time on, the IS 250C is the same as IS 230 minus two doors and a roof.

A roof made of aluminium that is split into three-piece is capable of retracting in just 20 seconds (world fastest) is a highlight of a car that also sports improvised overhangs in the front( 15 mm) as well as the back( 50 mm) lengthier than the sedan, a fresh design as the fog lamp and a heightened beltline that fits well into the groove of the human body parts.
